summary

to day we learned about triangles, similar figures, scale. there are 3 kinds of triangles isosceles, scalene and equilateral. there are also acute obtuse and right triangles. we also learned about scale, scale is the number a object is multiplied or divide by  to either reduce it or dilate it. reduce means to make it smaller and dilate means to make it bigger.

negative exponents look like this 2-4. If you want to convert a negative exponent to a fraction the you put the base and the exponents in the denominators spot like a normal fraction  but with an exponent. you have to remember you remove the - sign. If there is "nothing" you put a one in the numerator spot.

identity property says that you can add 0 to a number and it stays the same. this property is for addition only. But for multiplication when you multiply a number by one it stays the same. Both of these properties only work for addition and multiplication, like all of the properties.
